We went to a few shows in May with success!

We had a good show May 26 at the ESDCTA Memorial Weekend Show. 4 year old Shurreal (Sezuan/EM Rheporter - Royal Prince/Weltmeyer/Brentano II) started the day with an 83.2% in her Materiale class, then winning her 4 year old and older maiden mare class (83.6%), Mare Champion, Mature Horse Champion and Grand Champion! 5 year old Dhanube (Destano/ EM Lhorna Doone- Londonderry/ Wolkentanz II) was second to Shurreal in the 4 year old and older Maiden Mare Class (81.0%), then Reserve Mare Champion, and Reserve Mature Horse. She then went into the performance ring. She placed 1st in First Level Test 2 with a 73.438%, and 2nd in First Level test 3 with a 68.676% with a shy at a scary open side on a ring letter planter which was going to eat her. Both mares are fourth generation products from my breeding program- go American bred! Thanks to Cara Klothe for her beautiful riding (and braiding and grooming) and thanks to Brian Ohnmeiss for the great in hand handling.
On a personal front, after 25 years of not riding in a horse show, I achieved the scores for my USDF bronze medal on my cutie-pie, 19 year old Andalusian gelding, Preso. I am having so much fun!
Cara Klothe and I went to an LVDA schooling show at Thunderhead Farm in New Tripoli on May 20 with 2 young horses. Both were ridden beautifully by Cara. Zhezanne (Zonik/ Welcome S/ Arrian - three generations of Grand Prix dressage) got a 68.913% in training 1 and a 74.808% in training 2, placing 1st and 2nd, respectively. Zhezanne is for sale. Shurreal (Sezuan/ Royal Prince/ Weltmeyer) was also a star: 84.231% in training 2 (1st place) and an 82.045% in training 3 (1st place).
