Dhancing Man is only back from the breaker for a short while, but he shows us three good gaits and the rideability of both his sire and his dam. New video May 28, 2020. He is really learning how to go into the contact now!

Special Premium Candidate Shabrina  2010 Oldenburg Mare
sire  Shakespeare RSF      dam  EM Wyneth L
Owned by:

This is an FEI horse in training- she has shown and won at third level and is ready for 4th level and perhaps PSG this summer. The changes are now confirmed and she has even offered tempis down to twos. All of the lateral movements are good. She is sensitive and requires a tactful ride, so she is not for an untrained rider, but we feel she will have the high collection of passage and piaffe and we feel she will perform brilliantly to the top levels with a skilled rider. We didn't show her in 2018 and 2019, but that is not because she wasn't ready. With 17 horses to ride, we were a little busy! Half steps are coming along. New videos May 2020

Dhomaine Chandon  2016 Oldenburg Mare
 sire  Dheputy      dam  EM Fhrance
Owned by:

Update: We took Dhomaine Chandon to 2019 Dressage at Devon. She had never been off property and had never been ridden in a ring with other horses. She was a super star. She won her 3 yo fillies under saddle class on Tues. On Wed., she was 4th in the 3 yo fillies materiale, won her 3 yo fillies class with an 84.775%, was 3rd in the fillies championship, and on Thurs was 3rd in the USDF Breeders Championship Filly Final with an 81.825%. What a good girl who exceeded my expectations!
Dhomaine Chandon is back from the breaker and she is super to ride, with three very good gaits and a good balance despite being on the taller growthy side. She is excellent in the contact and has a volunteer, cooperative attitude under saddle and on the ground. New video May 8:

Shiraz RSF  2016 Oldenburg Gelding
sire  Sir James      dam  Verband Premium Whaffle

Shiraz RSF is one of the three geldings recently returned from the breaker, and we are quite happy with this sweet boy's progress. Shiraz has an uphill set neck, so of course we will need to work on getting him to lower it and work over his back, but we think his gaits are good with a hint of suspension in the trot. Keep an eye on him, folks! New video May 6, 2020:

Trying times in social distancing

In these days of social distancing, Rolling Stone Farm is still continuing to train our horses and prepare them to be your future riding horse. We had already entered some recognized dressage shows with some of our sales horses when the restrictions came about and of course we must now wait to see how things develop before knowing what will happen regarding showing. Two horses have recently found new happy owners, one of which will continue in full training until the horse can be shipped. We are happy to do this for any sale horse. I have represented horses honestly for the 41 years I have been breeding horses, and I will continue to do so during this strange and isolating time. You may not be able to make it personally to Rolling Stone Farm, but we would like to help you in any way possible to perhaps even make a decision via shopping online. I will get you everything you need to feel comfortable with your purchase and ensure itís the best fit for you and the horse. Please ask if you would like additional video on horses you are interested in. We are willing to take extra video of such things as ground work, grooming, tacking, lunging, mounting, farrier, trotting on a hard surface down our barn aisle, etc. I can also arrange for a guest rider to come and try potential horses for you and give you their feedback. We have quite a few talented riders with skills in different disciplines in our immediate area. We are happy to accommodate your requests, whatever they may be. I love to talk with people so please call to inquire about sales horses. I try to match horse and rider based on our discussion. My cell is (610) 703-8268 I have sold horses sight unseen with great success in the past- mostly young horses, but a few that were under saddle. I am willing to try new ways to help you find your horse in these strange times. Stay safe and healthy meantime!

EMC/ Han. Performance Mare Hhot Tamale  2008 Hanoverian Mare
sire  Hotline      dam  EM Chee Chee
Owned by:

I have decided to sell Hhot Tamale, since her mother is still young and still in production as a broodmare at RSF and Molly has had such a successful dressage career from lower levels to the Grand Prix. She is dependable enough for a schoolmaster to get your medals on and reliable and safe in her disposition to be suitable as a Jr./Young Rider horse. She is 100% sound with no maintenance and has clean radiographs. She has an extensive show record that can be found on the USDF Scores website.
She competed successfully at Grand Prix in 2019, scoring 65% three times and 67.8% in only her second year showing at that level, trained by a woman who has never ridden and trained at this level prior. No buck, bolt or bad behavior. She has a charming puppy-dog personality too. We took Molly to a schooling dressage show at the Horse Park of NJ on 3/15/20, just before all the shows were shut down due to the Corona virus. It was Jocelyn's first time in the show ring with her and this show was a opportunity to get in the ring in front of an "S" judge and find out what they needed to work on for the recognized dressage shows we had planned on entering her in. The score was a 66%, with a few boo-boos (19 ones! Pirouettes) on things that are never a problem to execute at home. The passage, piaffe and transitions scores were mostly 7's, which pleases us, since those were the things Jocelyn had been working on since starting to ride Molly a few months ago.

The proof of a stallion is in what he produces and Dheputy has gone above and beyond in this. His first foal to be started under saddle has already gone to her first show, where she was the high score of the day, never putting a foot wrong. Our own first Dheputy offspring will be broke in the fall after our mare performance test mares have been broke. We can't wait! Here is a video synopsis of what he has produced:

We presented 14 foals on July 28, 2017 to our GOV inspectors, Tommy Rhinow and Holly Simenson. EVERY foal was named a PREMIUM with 7 foals receiving a Foal Of Distinction and 2 stallion prospects were named (I would have picked 2 more as stallion prospects). Foals of Distinction were Bhulgari, Bhrilliance, Dhoublet (wow movement!), Dhistinctive, Fhacet (also a stallion prospect), Fheldspar (also a stallion prospect), and Shapphire.

Shortstop  2012 Oldenburg Stallion
sire  Shakespeare RSF      dam  EM Wyneth L

It was a sad day at Rolling Stone Farm on July 25, 2017, when I made the difficult decision to euthanize Shortstop after a pasture accident a week before. There was no chance of recovery and he was in so much pain, it was the right thing to do. He had been back in the show ring in 2017, and doing super- At Dressage at Stone Tavern I, he won his class, won the stallion championship, won the mature horse championship and was grand champion with an 83.6%. At Dressage in the Park, he won his class, won the stallion championship, won mature horse championship, and was reserve grand champion with a 75.65%. He also won his material class with a 76.4%. I had planned on taking him to Dressage at Devon to contest the GAIG/USDF Stallion Championship, which he had qualified for twice already. He was going really well under saddle at the time of his accident. Rest in peace, my sweet boy....

Shavane  2011 Oldenburg Stallion

Shavane was licensed by the German Oldenburg Verband in 2014 with very high scores (8 breed and sex type, impulsion and elasticity in the trot, general impression and development, canter and saddle position). He then went to the 2015 70 day stallion test in Oklahoma. He would have placed third overall (117.64), 2nd in dressage (127.05) and 5th in jumping (104.19), had he not been severely injured (read- hairline fracture of the LF cannon bone) just a few days before the stadium jumping final days. His scores up to that time included 9.5 temperament, trainability, and rideability, 9.0 character, trot, and gallop cross country, 8.5 canter, walk, and free jumping. He has since recovered completely and has gone on to a very successful show career. He was named the 2016 Region 8 GAIG/USDF Stallion Champion and was also the Reserve Champion Mature Horse at Saugerties. He was placed third in the Region 8 Training level Championships with a 69.659%- this was his second horse show under saddle ever! He then went to Dressage at Devon the following week where he was the Reserve Champion Stallion and where he won the Stallion Materiale. He is 2016 USDF Horse of the Year Third Place for Stallions 2nd in the GOV All Breeds Award.

Shakespeare RSF and Marcus schooling the Grand Prix movements   Hanoverian Stallion

I am so proud to say that I own and bred this wonderful stallion- Shakespeare RSF ridden and trained so well by Marcus Orlob, who is making Jim's and my dreams come true. Marcus has been riding Shakespeare for only a few years and I wonder what could have been accomplished earlier had he ridden him from the beginning. Shakespeare has been a wonderful producer for Rolling Stone Farm with 42 Premium GOV foals, 15 Foals of Distinction, 3 licensed stallion sons and a hunter futurity winner, with many champions in hand and under saddle. He is the 2015 USEF Dressage Breeding sire of the Year.
