Show results so far in 2021: 6/12/21 Windy Hollow Hunt 1 : fourth level test 1 65.256% 1st place, fourth 2 65.395 2nd place; 6/13/21 Windy Hollow Hunt 2: Fourth 1- 67.179% 1st place, fourth 2- 70.789% 2nd place. Good girl! This is an FEI horse in training- she has shown and won at third level and is now showing 4th level and perhaps will do PSG at the end of this summer. The changes are now confirmed and she has even offered tempis down to twos. All of the lateral movements are good. She is sensitive and requires a tactful ride, so she is not for an untrained rider, but we feel she will have the high collection of passage and piaffe and we feel she will perform brilliantly to the top levels with a skilled rider. Here she is on May 26, 2021:

We brought Bhracelet and Dhiamond to the two ESDCTA Memorial Weekend Dressage breed shows May 29 & 30. It rained heavily both days and the temperature was only 50 (brrrr...), but RSF horses were successful with very good scores. Thanks for the good riding from Jocelyn and the good handling from Nick!

Shavane  2011 Oldenburg Stallion
sire  Shakespeare RSF      dam  EM Rheporter
Owned by:

Shavane was licensed by the German Oldenburg Verband in 2014 with very high scores (8 breed and sex type, impulsion and elasticity in the trot, general impression and development, canter and saddle position). He then went to the 2015 70 day stallion test in Oklahoma. He would have placed third overall (117.64), 2nd in dressage (127.05) and 5th in jumping (104.19), had he not been severely injured (read- hairline fracture of the LF cannon bone) just a few days before the stadium jumping final days. His scores up to that time included 9.5 temperament, trainability, and rideability, 9.0 character, trot, and gallop cross country, 8.5 canter, walk, and free jumping. He has since recovered completely and has gone on to a very successful show career. He was named the 2016 Region 8 GAIG/USDF Stallion Champion and was also the Reserve Champion Mature Horse at Saugerties. He was placed third in the Region 8 Training level Championships with a 69.659%- this was his second horse show under saddle ever! He then went to Dressage at Devon the following week where he was the Reserve Champion Stallion and where he won the Stallion Materiale. He was 2016 USDF Horse of the Year Third Place for Stallions 2nd in the GOV All Breeds Award.

Dhiamond  2017 Oldenburg Mare
sire  Dheputy      dam  Special Premium Shusquehanna

Dhiamond was born an uncomplicated packer and has been so steady and cooperative under saddle so far. She comes out every day ready and willing to work. What more can you ask of a young horse? 2020: We took her to a dressage schooling show on Aug 30, 2020 where she received a 70.96% at training level test 1 and won the class. She also went to a USDF breed show where she was 2nd in the three year old fillies class with a 78.175%, Reserve Champion Filly, Reserve Champion Young Horse and Show Reserve Grand Champion. She was also shown in a Materiale class where she tied in the score for second place with a 76.3%- her first time in a ring with other horses being ridden. Update! Dhiamond went to a schooling dressage show the end of March, 2021.
She received an unbelievable 82.0% in intro C and a 78.269% at training level test 1!!!!! New video from May 26, 2021:

Bhracelet  2017 Oldenburg Mare
sire  Bordeaux      dam  Special Premium Shcooter

Her barn name has been Chicken Nugget since my granddaughter nicknamed her that when she was an orange foal. She is charming, and a super mover still trying to find her balance but with a cooperative attitude towards her rider.
UPDATE! Bhracelet went to a schooling dressage show on April 10, 2021 where she received the amazing scores of 80.769%% in training level test 1 and a 77.241% in training level test 2. Here she is at that show:

HPM Dhark Ruby  2017 Oldenburg Mare
 sire  Diamond Hit      dam
Owned by:   Maurine Swanson

Dhark Ruby is now a Hanoverian Premium Mare. She did the Hanoverian MPT in Germany on November 25, 2020 as a three year old. Her scores were 7-8-7 (trot-canter-walk) for the gaits and 7.5 and 8 for rideabilty, and 6, 6.5, and 7 for jumping! She also got the Hanoverian Premium Mare designation. Thank you to Joerg Clasen for the great care and to his rider Karoline for the super presentation under saddle. Dhark Ruby has a half sister by Millennium that competed at the 2019 Westphalian Elite Mare Show in Germany. Dhark Ruby's dam, Avantgarde is full sister to the dam of Bretton Woods and her granddam Alina (by Romancier) is dam of Annabel who is granddam of Le Formidable! Anabel is also dam of the popular imported Dutch stallion Gaudi (by Totilas) and she is the dam of Chagall (by Jazz). This is a super mare family.

Dhiamont Pendant  2017 Oldenburg Mare
 sire  Diamond Hit      dam
Owned by:   Maurine Swanson

Dhiamond Pendant was named Dhiamont Pendant at her Mare inspection (German English crossed wires :-)) but the results were still good! She got 7 for trot 8 for canter, 7 for walk and 8,5 for riding and 9,5 from the test rider! For jumping she got 7.5 and 7 and 7.5 for jumping intelligence. She had a higher rideability score from the test rider than a MPT mare which is headed to the Young Horse Championships next week. She is registered Westphalian so ineligible for the Hanoverian award.
Thank you to Joerg Clasen for the great care and to his rider Karoline for the super presentation under saddle! I found out that Dhiamont Pendant has two licensed half brothers- Avicii by Apache who was Premium stallion at the 2014 Westphalian licensing and sold for $150K and a colt by Millennium who was licensed Deutschen Sportpferde in 2019. This is exciting news that validates my confidence in this mare's breeding value!

more show updates- Sept 2020

Shiraz RSF and Ehlliot went to a schooling dressage show last Saturday, September 12, 2020. No lunging for Shiraz, just a few spins around for Ehlliot. Both loaded, unloaded and stood on the trailer quietly while the other horse was ridden. Neither horse had been in a ring with other horses, so the warmup ring was a real eye opener. Shiraz RSF: Training level test 1 64.808% with a few baby bobbles and a tough judge-2nd place. Training level test 2 70.862% (8 on gaits), 2nd place to a second level 7 year old that dropped down to show. Ehlliot: Training level test 1- 66.346%, first place. Training level test 2- 68.448%, third place behind Shiraz and the second level horse. Good boys and once again, super riding by Jocelyn!

Trying times in social distancing

In these days of social distancing, Rolling Stone Farm is still continuing to train our horses and prepare them to be your future riding horse. We had already entered some recognized dressage shows with some of our sales horses when the restrictions came about and of course we must now wait to see how things develop before knowing what will happen regarding showing. Two horses have recently found new happy owners, one of which will continue in full training until the horse can be shipped. We are happy to do this for any sale horse. I have represented horses honestly for the 41 years I have been breeding horses, and I will continue to do so during this strange and isolating time. You may not be able to make it personally to Rolling Stone Farm, but we would like to help you in any way possible to perhaps even make a decision via shopping online. I will get you everything you need to feel comfortable with your purchase and ensure itís the best fit for you and the horse. Please ask if you would like additional video on horses you are interested in. We are willing to take extra video of such things as ground work, grooming, tacking, lunging, mounting, farrier, trotting on a hard surface down our barn aisle, etc. I can also arrange for a guest rider to come and try potential horses for you and give you their feedback. We have quite a few talented riders with skills in different disciplines in our immediate area. We are happy to accommodate your requests, whatever they may be. I love to talk with people so please call to inquire about sales horses. I try to match horse and rider based on our discussion. My cell is (610) 703-8268 I have sold horses sight unseen with great success in the past- mostly young horses, but a few that were under saddle. I am willing to try new ways to help you find your horse in these strange times. Stay safe and healthy meantime!

The proof of a stallion is in what he produces and Dheputy has gone above and beyond in this. His first foal to be started under saddle has already gone to her first show, where she was the high score of the day, never putting a foot wrong. Our own first Dheputy offspring will be broke in the fall after our mare performance test mares have been broke. We can't wait! Here is a video synopsis of what he has produced:

We presented 14 foals on July 28, 2017 to our GOV inspectors, Tommy Rhinow and Holly Simenson. EVERY foal was named a PREMIUM with 7 foals receiving a Foal Of Distinction and 2 stallion prospects were named (I would have picked 2 more as stallion prospects). Foals of Distinction were Bhulgari, Bhrilliance, Dhoublet (wow movement!), Dhistinctive, Fhacet (also a stallion prospect), Fheldspar (also a stallion prospect), and Shapphire.

Shortstop  2012 Oldenburg Stallion

It was a sad day at Rolling Stone Farm on July 25, 2017, when I made the difficult decision to euthanize Shortstop after a pasture accident a week before. There was no chance of recovery and he was in so much pain, it was the right thing to do. He had been back in the show ring in 2017, and doing super- At Dressage at Stone Tavern I, he won his class, won the stallion championship, won the mature horse championship and was grand champion with an 83.6%. At Dressage in the Park, he won his class, won the stallion championship, won mature horse championship, and was reserve grand champion with a 75.65%. He also won his material class with a 76.4%. I had planned on taking him to Dressage at Devon to contest the GAIG/USDF Stallion Championship, which he had qualified for twice already. He was going really well under saddle at the time of his accident. Rest in peace, my sweet boy....

I am so proud to say that I own and bred this wonderful stallion- Shakespeare RSF ridden and trained so well by Marcus Orlob, who is making Jim's and my dreams come true. Marcus has been riding Shakespeare for only a few years and I wonder what could have been accomplished earlier had he ridden him from the beginning. Shakespeare has been a wonderful producer for Rolling Stone Farm with 42 Premium GOV foals, 15 Foals of Distinction, 3 licensed stallion sons and a hunter futurity winner, with many champions in hand and under saddle. He is the 2015 USEF Dressage Breeding sire of the Year.
