What a beautiful filly this is! She is sired by the ever increasingly famous Zonik, now ridden by Edward Gal and out of one of my fanciest moving mares.

Birth report:
She is born 11 days early so we didn't have the cameras set up and Qhuiver was a sneaky mare whose milk didn't change to give us notice that she was foaling. But here is my unusual story: I fell asleep on the couch, woke up at 1:30 am and went to bed. I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about Qhuiver. Finally, at 2 am, I went out to the barn in my nightshirt and muckers (not a pretty picture) to check on her. The minute I reached the barn aisle I knew she had foaled by the scent. The filly had just been born. She was still wet and just sitting sternal. I called a sleepy Jim and we went about doing our foaling routine of cleaning the stall, putting down fresh straw, dipping the umbilicus, and watching the foal stand and then nurse. I'm glad it was a filly. The best Z name was Zhinfandel and that sounds feminine to me. Foaling season has begun!!! YEAH!
This filly was purchased at 2 days old- lucky new owner!
