The last show of the FL season- more successes! They will be coming home soon. I will leave Shakespeare with Marcus in NJ, only 1 hour away so he can continue his training with him. I will be able to drive over and get Shakespeare to be collected and then drive him back the next day.
At the GDF 12 National Shakespeare RSF and Marcus Orlob: Intermediare 1 Thurs. March 27- 1st place 71.711%, Fri. March 28- Intermediare1- 1st place 71.316%. It is not just Shakespeare that Marcus is having success on. Sat. March 29, he and Equistricons Et Voila ("ET"), placed 1st in the Developing Grand Prix class with an amazing 70.875%- their first time at GP!
Global Dressage Festival 10 (the CDI we originally had targeted entering before being selected at the Nations Cup)- CDI PSG 5th with a 67.588%, then in the CDI Intermediare 1 he was 3rd with a 71.623%. The scoring was extremely close. Two judges placed him 1st. He was .04% off of 2nd place and .13 off of 1st place. Then on Thursday 3/20 at the GDF 11, he did his 3rd ever Intermediare 1, placing 1st with a 73.947%. Super riding from Marcus, and Shakespeare is improving by leaps and bounds!

Shakespeare RSF is having a successful start in the competition ring in FL with Marcus Orlob. This is a new partnership of just a few months, so imagine what will happen when they really form a team!We originally thought that we'd be happy if Shakespeare would be ready to show by March or April, so these results have exceeded our expectations!
Global Dressage Festival (GDF) 4 National show 2/1 and 2/2:
PSG 79.079% 3rd place
PSG 71.184% 1st place
GDF 5 National 2/6-2/9
PSG 67.895% 1st place
PSG 68.355% 4th place
PSG 69.342% 3rd place
Then, Marcus and Shakespeare were chosen for the German team at the Nations Cup- quite an honor, and quite scary, since this was a CDI 3* (for heaven's sake!), Shakes had never done Inter. 1, and they had to throw together a musical freestyle at Inter 1! With help from team mate Kevin Kohmann, it was hastily put together. So for this, they performed in the stadium, with the cameras from USEF Network rolling. No stress, right? http://www.dressage-news.com/?p=24974 Unfortunately, Marcus and Shakespeare were the only ones left on the team after day one of the competition, so the German team was eliminated. The amazing thing was that Shakespeare and Marcus were in the top half of the standings after the PSG and I1, so they had to do the freestyle. It did look a little thrown together, but what an honor to have done so well against some big names in their first CDI. Here are the scores:
PSG 66.421% 13th place
Inter 1 65.974% 12th place
MFS 64.875%
Here is the PSG:
Here is the Intermediare 1:
At the GDF 8 Palm Beach Dressage Derby 2/28-3/2
PSG 68.289% 1st place
Inter 1 67.039% 2nd place
