April 2013: Shpades has caught up height-wise with the earlier born pasture mates. He can still really MOVE with the super hindquarter action he demonstrated as a foal. He is genetically programmed for success in the dressage ring. Fall 2012: He just uses his hind end like a rocket launcher. When he loses his baby fat and lengthens out a bit, he will be amazing.
Well, I thought this colt would be able to move and I was right! Even though he is still young, he lifts himself off the ground from the very first steps. He looks masculine already and will be of medium size. Birth report: It's a good thing we go out late at night refill water buckets. Jim found this handsome, healthy colt apparently right after its birth. Sabrina had no milk change, not a big udder, no change in the hindquarter, etc., etc. Sabrina is a good mom, and this colt is strong and handsome. I bet he can move!
