Premium Foal. Now named a Special Premium Candidate after successful completion of the GOV Mare Performance Test in 2015

A strong, very substantial filly by Hotline. We hope she will grow up to be as good as Hhot Tamale, who is also by Hotline. June: Hhopscotch is a tall, substantial beauty who screams upper level dressage. She has a great personality, she can move really well in all three gaits and she is a sweetie. We LOVE Hhot Tamale, also by Hotline, who has been very successful in the dressage ring at PSG at only 7 years old.  

Hhopscotch's sire Blue Hors Hotline is now winning in Grand Prix dressage, fulfilling the promise that he showed as a young horse where he was winner of his 70 - day test in Schlieckau with 137.34 points, 10 points more than the second placed horse. For the dressage, he got a 10 by both test riders and finished his test with a dressage index of 149.28 points! Since then, he has dominated the young horse championships in Denmark. Hotline was champion stallion of the Hanoverian licensing in 2005 and impressed the audience with its superior appearance. Hotline’s sire Hofrat became “Trakehner Stallion of the Year” during the Trakehner licensing in Neumünster in 2000. Dam sire De Niro is one of the most successful sons of Donnerhall, both in sport and in breeding. De Niro himself is a Grand Prix winner and sire of numerous approved stallions, State Premium mares, auction horses and championship horses.
Foal report: This is a really dark beauty who looks like she has a super canter. The jury is still out on the trot, since we don't see it very often. This girl loves to canter!

Inspection Comments

Hhopscotch is a really powerful mover who is coming into her own. She has three very good gaits and received high scores at her mare inspection and in her Mare Performance Test. She received an 8.5 for the free trot (a glimpse of what will eventually come under saddle) It is a difficult test for a three year old and she was quite green at the time, having only been back from the breaker a few weeks.

From Allison Spivey, Hhopscotch's trainer: Good morning! I just wanted to send you an email and tell you how much we are enjoying Poppy! Poppy went to her first show this weekend just to school and was an absolute gem! She was so reliable and honest. We got compliments on her everywhere we went. Jane has started to ride her some and she she adjusts accordingly. She can be bright and sharp with me and then instantly take it down and be quiet for Jane.
