Scoop will join two other RSF horses at Karen and Carly's farm!
Scoop is another foal with heat doldrums the day of the inspection. He is so bold, all the plastic bag shaking in the world would not work to get him even a little bit excited. We got some great photos and his future owner is thrilled with him. The weekend before our GOV inspection we got news that Don Principe had won at Dressage at Lexington in Intermediare I with a 70%.
Scoop has a face to die for, and a cute, very friendly personality. He is under contract to someone who fell in love with him. I am thrilled, because Scoop will end up in a competition ring, always a plus for us breeders. Currently competing at Prix St. George and Intermediare 1 at age 8 with scores in the high 60%'s. Don Principe had his start under
Hans Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen in Germany and won or placed highly in several under saddle classes there. In 2005, Don Principe was Grand Champion
in hand at the Good Horseman Breeder's Showcase,NCDCTA Breeding Show and the MESDA Breed show. In addition he was Reserve Grand Champion at Dressage at Lexington and Winner at Dressage at Devon. Don Principe also qualified in three different regions for the Cosequin Final, East Coast, South
East and MidWest. Don Principe qualified for and competed in the Markel National FEI Young Horse Championships and finished fourth overall. Awards include: 2005 Reserve Champion USDF Horse of the Year, Stallion in Hand, 2005 USDF FEI Young Horse 6 yr old, rank #4 and 2005 American Hanoverian Society Stallion of the Year. 2005 SouthEast Sporthorse Association Champion Horse Under Saddle. In 2006 at age 7 and one of the youngest horses at this level, Don Principe placed 6th at Region 3 ABIC Championships with 24 entries and 8th at the BLM Championships with over 30 entries in Prix St. George. In 2007, placed third in the USEF National Developing Horse Finals. Finished in the ribbons at dressage at Devon in both the PSG and I1 Freestyle. Qualified for Region 1 GAIG Championships in all three, PSG, I1, I1 freestyle as well as for the BLM Championships. Region 1 GAIG Champion
at I 1, third at PSG and I1 Freestyle. Don Principe has three correct basic gaits, super elasticity and suspension. The walk consistently scores "9"s in competitions and inspections. His canter is uphill and expressive at all times. Don Principe's most outstanding characteristic, is his Fantastic temperament and willingness to work, which he passes on to his offspring.
Foaling report: Rita is a good mom. She had been a bit squirrelly about her udder being touched the last few days, so I stayed with her to make sure she knew that the foal was supposed to nurse there. Scoop is good sized for a first foal. He is correct with a good shoulder and straight legs.
SOLD! Congratulations to Karen and Carly Graziano!
Show Results
2014 and 2015- Scoop has been showing training and first levels with his amateur owner with many wins and scores up to 78%. At Dressage at Devon 2013, he placed 2nd in the Suitable to Become a Dressage Horse class. At Dressage at Devon 2011, Scoop was shown in hand in the Three Year Old Colts and Geldings and he placed fourth! He was also fourth in the GOV IBC. Congratulations to his owner, Ellen Kettler.
Owner Comments
Hey Mo,
I tried to send you a text but I don't think they're working... Scoop did SO well at Devon, he had a lot of compliments on his movement. Ghumdrop was absolutely fabulous but she always decides to fall asleep when she's being stood up so she's tough to make look good... she's such a lazy bum! I named Piper's colt Glee since he was born the night my favorite show, Glee, airs. We call him "Puck" after the bad boy character on the show, he is quite mischievous and independent already. I have yet to see him really move because he spends all of his time galloping, leaping, and pirouetting... the other night he was having so much fun that he ran right into Piper. Here are some pictures from his first day outside, hopefully I can get some new ones soon, he's growing like a weed and is all unfolded now. Thanks so much, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Congrats on Cash winning the young hunter class, that's really something!
