The last foal of the year!
We anxiously awaited the birth of this foal. One, because it was our last one due, and two, because of the great success and reputation of his sire, Sir Donnerhall. This colt does not disappoint us. He is personable, and what a mover!

Jan loves that she loves riding Syrtaki. He is 5 years old and is schooling 3rd level movements.
Hi Mo,
I really love "Taki's" name, but the first appointment I made with my
vet they referred to him as "Shit-take" and asked me if he was
"Shitty" for short. I was afraid that was just going to be how it
would go when I competed him...unfortunately, I guess there are a lot
of people not up on their gourmet foods! So, we had been tossing a
bunch of possibilities around and came up with "Syrtaki" which is a
Greek folk dance. I was trying to find a name that we could put the
"H" behind the S, but it affects the pronunciation and the meaning and
couldn't find the right name that everyone liked. So I guess that is
what it will be. I have had the least problems with this name. Some
people say Sirtaki, others Seertaki and others Siretaki, but at least
it is close and it doesn't sound like "Shit"!
As far as Taki goes...I really, really like him. If I had to design a
horse for myself it would be Taki! He is a bit of a goof (which isn't
a bad thing because he looks to the rider/handler for confidence), and
he loves attention, he loves to be worked with and made a big fuss
over, he seems to want to please and do the right thing, and he is
very sweet. I just drool when I watch him move--I can't wait to sit
on him!!!! I think you should make another!Hi Mo,
I am sure that you are crazy busy at this time bringing all of the new
babies into the world!
Shitake is great! I absolutely love him! He is sweet and silly like
a puppy. He is longeing under saddle in side reins a couple of times
per week. I will probably sit on him in June when I can work with him
more regularly.
