Rhavel has fullfilled Nancy's dream of once again riding the Grand Prix test in competition. At the Dressage at Grand Haven Show June 7 & 8 in Jefferson, OH, they went in the ring and did it. Under judge Lois Yukins, they received a score of 60%. Nancy reports that he had enough left in the tank for the pa and pi down the center line at the end, and they had just a few bobbles, like in the zig zag and the tempis. Congratulations, Nancy!
Lake Erie College Dressage 3/14-16/2008 Rhavel did the I-1 and had a 67% and did the I-2 and had a 59%. He was reserve high point FEI.

8/18/2007- Rhavel got a 64% and a 67% at I-1 and his entry went in to Dressage at Devon. When I get the details from Nancy, I will post them.

Rhavel went to the Paxton Farms Spring Classic ! with his stablemate, Ghlenlivet. He received a sixth place in the Prix St. Georges with a 58.25%Congratulations to Nancy Lewis Stanton and her RSF horses, Ghlenlivet and Rhavel. Hi Mo,
Sharon forwarded me some pictures of Rhavel. He is doing pretty good this year. He has qualified I-II and Grand Prix. We're finally starting to get some good scores in the ring on our piaffe. He's had a few 8s now and has been getting 7s on the passage. We even managed to get an 8 on our 1 tempi's We still have our moments when I don't want to talk to him. I wanted to do Devon this year but he still mentally isn't ready. Hopefully next year. The last show we did we finally got a 64 at the Grand Prix. We show again in a couple weeks so maybe he's getting the hang of it.
Ghlen is doing well. He got qualified early. His scores were not as high as I wanted. His just over 66%. I wanted higher. We show again in a couple weeks. I wanted to do the I-1 but the full pirouettes just were not there. He has beautiful 2 tempi's. So next year.
Toni is getting big. He still looks like such a baby that I just haven't done much with him. He lunges and has his bridle on but that has been it. He's so sweet. He would rather get petted than eat his food. Maybe this fall I'll do something we'll see.
The babies look nice. Take care. Tell Jim we say hi. Nancy

2008- We had another good weekend. Rhavel had a 65% at I-1 and a 57% at the GP. Ghlen had 2 62% at PSG. They were very good. Ghardenar won his first class.
Sharon was so excited. She had a 62% at tr-2. He has been so good. He is turning out to be very nice. I hope all the inspections have gone well. I'll talk to you soon. Nancy

I now own 2 FEI horses. Ghlen did the 4-1 yesterday and did alright, he only had a 75%. today we did the PSG. He was so good!!! He had a 70%! We even got an 8 on the 3's. He of course won the class. He has the 4-2 tomorrow. Rhavel is now a Grand Prix Horse. He was so good. I think we finally found
something he likes. He had a 60%. We had some little mistakes in the 2's and the zigzag. We did get all 15 1's. He even had enough energy to do the last center line. Yesterday we did the I-2. He had a 62%. He tried to over achieve and did 15 1's even though I stopped at 11. We do the GP again tomorrow. I should ride better. Ghardener was good. He gor a little excited in the canter transitions. She had a 53% in the first test and a 49% in the second. The second score we thought was a little low. He was very well behaved. I'll call you monday to give you all the details. I'll have Sharon send some pics. I can't believe Rhavel finally got there. It's been a long road. I don't think two many people would have put up with him. He does his piaffe and passage with his ears forward. I think he is happy he is aloud to prance around the ring. He's been waiting 10 years for that. thanks for breeding such great horses!!!
I better go shower. I'll call Monday. Nancy

Rhavel did a demo freestyle last weekend. He was very good. I heard we made some people cry. He is getting the ones. I'm going to do his first Grand Prix in June. I'm already nervous. It's hard to believe we have had Rhavel 10 years. The time has gone by so fast. Now he will be a Grand Prix horse. To think both of them will now be FEI horses. I always dreamed of this now we are finally there. I plan on doing both Rhavel's and Ghlenlivet's firsts on the same day. that way I can be really freaked out, then celebrate. Sharon also plans on showing Ghardener that day. Take care and I'll keep you posted. Nancy
04-12-08 We did our first show and it went well. Rhavel did the I-1 and had a 67% and did the I-2 and had a 59%. He was reserve high point FEI. Rhavel doesn't show again until June where we
will do the GP.
7/30/07- I took the 2 boys to a show over the weekend. they are doing so well. Ghlen had a 71% at 4th 2 and a 72% at the freestyle. rhavel had a 68% at the I-1 freestyle and a 65% at I-1. We have another show in 2 weeks then we are done until finals. We are going to Virginia in Oct. Talk to you soon,
Nancy
Hi Mo, Well we did it. . So I sent our entries to Devon. So I hope our PSG scores are high enough. I'll know in a couple weeks if we got in. He was finally good thru out the whole show. Our next stop is the regional finals. That will be a good test of his behavior. I hope everything went well for you this summer. I will talk to you soon. Nancy

May 2005
Hi Mo, Looks like you've been busy. I thought I would give you an update on the boys. It has been such a long winter.

Rhavel [also purchased from RSF] is now an FEI horse. He did his first 2 PSG's this last weekend. We didn't do to bad 59% both on Saturday and Sunday. It is amazing what 2 years home working can do mentally for a horse like him. He was actually well behaved, no playing in his stall, rearing and bucking. He walked around almost like a gentlmen. He isn't quite confirmed in his changes yet but they are coming.- - - - - - - - - -

I don't think I'm going to show Rhavel [also purchased from RSF] next year. We are just going to train and come out PSG and I-1 the following year. He can piaffe already. I've been working half steps with him and he just piaffed one day. I thought he did something wrong when he got so springy. He is so different then any horse I've ever worked with. I'm learing alot.
