I love her!Foal report:Chee Chee decided to have this filly standing up. The birth alarm was set, the camera was on. Jim and I fell asleep on the couch, then got up to go to bed. I looked at the TV with the stall camera on Chee Chee and what should appear but a new foal! We got out there right away, and she was still wet, so it must have just happened, and the birth must have happened with Chee Chee standing- there was lots of blood on the wall, and the alarm didn't ring. The filly is fine, despite taking a dive first thing in it's life. She was up and nursing like a pro in a short time. She is very beautiful and leggy and is a clone of all the other Shakespeare foals.
SOLD!Congrats to Courtney Burns of NY, NY!
At VADA/NOVA Spring dressage in April, Shundance won the 4 year old and older Materiale class with a whopping score of 83.3%. Ridden by Cara Klothe, she also placed 1st in training level test 1 (68.125%), 3rd in training level test 3 (69.0%) and 5th in training level test 2 (64.821%)
Dec. 2013 Shundance is doing great under saddle. I believe she will make an awesome dressage horse and she also could make a big $ hunter.
At Dressage at Devon 2013, she placed 7th in the 3 year old fillies class, and was 2nd in the suitable to become a dressage horse- 3 year old. She WON the championship and won the high score under saddle ribbon at our GOV Mare Performance Test and was named Special Premium Candidate. Scores in the MPT included 8's for free trot, walk under saddle, trot under saddle, 8.5 for rideability, 7.5 for canter under saddle, 7's for free jump and free canter. Total score- 7.71. Inspection scores included 8's for breed and sex type, trot, walk, and general impression and development- 7.5 overall score. These are very high scores, given by the German Oldenburg Verband Breeding Director, Katrin Burger. Here is the most recent video:
Here she is in a lesson with Scott Hassler on 8/28/13, just 2 months under saddle:
Hi Mo,
I am Shundance’s new owner. I bought her about a month ago. I am in California. My trainer has been doing the riding on her right now, although I have been on her a few times.
She is a lovely, very sweet mare, and incredible as a mover. I am hoping she will become my Grand Prix horse in the future.
I am really looking forward to getting to know her and bring her up the levels!
Best regards,
Barbara O'Connor
