George is the friendliest of all the foals this year, and so he has become a farm favorite. He not only has charm, he can move like stink! He will mature at medium height.
Foaling report: Well, I missed the actual birth by a few minutes. His IgG was low, even after giving him some colostrum I had in the freezer. He required a plasma transfusion (the first one I've had to do in about 15 years!). All is fine now and he is a strong, healthy boy of average size.Shirlene and Rheceptionist both had Birth Alarms on and Shirlene kept tripping the alarm since she was sleeping flat out. I turned the alarm to the second setting and just happened to wake up right after Phyllis foaled. He is a normal sized colt with very little white. We have named him Whonderful Life in honor of our first 2010 Welcome S foal out of Regalia that had to be put down at 6 days old. We had never named him, since he was so sick right from the start. This is a wonderful life of a brand new foal!
