2002 Inaugural Dr. Hartwig Prize Winner!
EM Dew Berry has been unable to carry a pregnancy to term for 3 years now, so she has been started again under saddle and is available for sale. She is going great under saddle, and has taken to it like no time has passed since the last time she was ridden as a 3 year old. She is still a really fantastic mover.
Davignport, her sire, competed up to Intermediare in dressage. Dew Berry placed third at Dressage at Devon in the Fillies of 1999 class. She was the high score Hanoverian mare at the 2002 RSF AHS inspection with a score of 7.5. She received 8's for typiness and femininity, overall impression and development and the impulsion and elasticity at the trot. That same year as a three year old, she completed her Mare Performance Test with a final score of 8.0, making her the high score for the MPT, too. She received 8's for all of her gaits, a 10 for jumping technique and an 8 for jumping ability. She received a 7 for rideability. (I probably would have given her an 8 here too-she was super!). She was the inaugural winner of the Walter Hartwig Prize for the highest scoring North American bred, young HN mare. This award is given to the highest combination of scores from the MPT and inspections among qualified young mares.

Hey Mo!
Hope you're resting up for breeding season! Here's an updated pic and a video of DB. This was only her second ride and the first time I EVER jumped her. http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=8CrmpUc4lOmeDSNezIj3FYh4l5k2TGxc
Carly is doing a great job bringing her back.
She's such a good girl and more brave to the jumps than I ever expected. Mostly I was just glad she didn't jump the standards. I know it's not perfect, but it's a start, and every time I ride her she gets more and more solid. She also went to a show to hang out today. She rode on the Chapot's big, scary van and was a good girl while her buddies came and went for their classes. She's giving LJ a run for his money for the title of Mom's favorite! Maybe sometime soon we can set something up and you can come see her? -Carly
Dew Berry is having great success in the hunter ring with her new owner's daughter.
