Named a champion foal on any continent and described as being as good as any foal seen anywhere by Dr. Schade. Winner at Dressage at Devon, now a new Elite Mare candidate
She is by Royal Prince and is out of EM Whispre, the dam of Ghlycerine. This is the best foal I have ever produced in 25 years of breeding.
She has it all- confidence, typiness, conformation and unbelievable movement in all of her gaits. Now I just need to bubble wrap her until she grows up!Royal Prince achieved great success in 2004 with only four competitions in his calendar year. He made his official debut at the Morven Park Spring Show, where he won the FEI Young Horse 5-year old test with an overall score of 8.5. He raised the bar for himself at his next competition, the East Coast Selection Trials for the FEI World Championships for Young Horses. At this competition held over Memorial Day weekend, Royal Prince won a warm-up round with a 9.2, then wowed the selection committee in the Finals to earn an overall score of 9.82. Rumors ran around the country about this big score, but in FEI-O judge Linda Zang's words, "This is one of the loveliest horses I've seen in my life, ever." The judges scored Royal Prince's performance as follows: trot 9.8, walk 10, canter 9.6, submissiveness 9.8, overall impression 9.9. With such strong support from the judges, Royal Prince and his rider Susanne Owen Hassler set off for Europe with hope and confidence.
The 2004 FEI World Championships for Young Horses were held in Verden, Germany during the weekend of July 9-11. In the preliminary round of competition, Royal Prince demonstrated his keen focus and commitment. He produced a quality performance that earned 5th place among the world's top stallions and riders! With an overall score of 8.92, Royal Prince and Susanne were secured a place in the highly competitive Finals, held on Sunday. Their performance in front of thousands in the packed Verden stadium made a bit of American history, that memorable rainy Sunday in July, when Royal Prince produced a strong performance once again, earning an overall score of 8.84 and a final standing of 4th place in the World!
SOLD! Congrats to Jen of NY!

Rheporter was named Grand Champion of the 2011 Dressage at Devon breed show!
I looked at her colt Shavane who was a late born foal and thought he looked pretty gooid. I wanted to showcase Shakespeare's foals at DAD this year. As long as I had entered Shavane, I figured I'd enter Rheporter too. She was second to Rabiola in the Broodmare class and I figured Rabiola was on her way to another Grand Championship. Much to my surprise, Rheporter was named Mare Champion, then Mature Horse Champion and finally Grand Champion! The other cool part was when they announced Quinnten Alston as Top handler. John did a great job hanging on to foals whilke the mares were being shown and Cara did an awesome job behind the scenes and handling in the ring. We had three foals in the GAIG/USDF foal Championship and three mares in the GAIG/USDF Mare Championship, so we had to scramble a bit for extra handlers. Thanks to Bobby, Klaus, Suzie and Amy for pitching in.
Jan 2009 Lois (Rheporter) becomes an Elite Mare for the American Hanoverian Society with the birth of her 2009 colt by Rousseau named Rhustler.
A new Elite mare Candidate, and Grand Champion of the 2008 Hanoverian Mare Show sponsored by MAHB. At the Hedgeland Inspection on October 4, 2008, Lois received an overall conformation score of 7.33 with 8's for head, typiness and femininity, impulsion and elasticity and the walk. I was a bit surprised that the scores weren't higher, but that is horse showing for you! At her Mare Performance Test, she and Rheceptionist were the youngest mares there, and there were some nice mature mares who had had years of training, instead of the few months that Lois and Phyllis had. Lois received a 7.06 with an 8 for rideability (I would have scored her a 9), and an 8 for the walk. She received a 7 for the trot (!), a deserved 6 for the jumping and a 6.5 for the canter (another surprise !) Oh well, she will have just one Hanoverian foal and then be approved for the GOV for future foals, or perhaps this is the one to put into the dressage competition ring- we'll see....We are looking forward to her foal by Rousseau. She was the Show Grand Champion and winner of her class at the MAHB Mare Show the day after the MPT. Then we drove the two young ladies home for a well deserved rest. 10/24/2007
Rheporter wins her class, the young mare championship and the Show grand Championship at the MAHB Mare Show on 9/16/07. Then, Rheporter is named reserve champion filly at Dressage at Devon! At the 2007 MAHB show, she won her class, was named champion young filly and then named Show Champion by our judges, Dr. Ludwig Christmann and Karin Himmelmeyer. At Devon, she was second in her two year old fillies class, and then was named reserve champion filly. She was 5th in the Great American/USDF Championship. Michael Bragdell had been told that he showed too big of a trot (huh?) and so he scaled it down for this class...
