Rhyan is now under saddle and he is really super. Keep checking and I will post video and new conformation photos soon.
An amateur rider's dream horse for dressage or hunter. He jumps willingly under saddle in very good hunter form. He has been off the farm for a clinic and a schooling dressage show, where he won both of his classes with 62% + with very little time for warm up, since we arrived at the show quite late. He was a superstar at the lesson with Scott Hassler, his first time in a trailer and off the property. Scott and Suzanne loved him!
Foaling report: Our embryo transfer via a standardbred mare recipient named Sam arrived at Dr Hurtgen's in New Freedom, PA. I have only heard about him by phone conversation with Mrs. Hurtgen, but we will be visiting soon to see him in person and take photos. I can't wait to see this one move! Hochkarat is now an Elite Mare for the AHS. Hochkarat was tied for the top mare score on the entire 2004 AHS inspection tour with an overall 8.0. Fingers crossed! Thanks to her owner, Marion Dressel-O'Connor, for making this chance possible. She and her vet were great to work with.
SOLD!Congratulations to Caelin McGogney of Orefield, PA!
FOR SALE We took Rhyan and Dhijon to a schooling dressage show on March 27, 2011 at the NJ Horse Park. They both won both of their classes. This was Rhyan's second show. He did First level test 1 and won with a 64.483%. He then did First Level test 2 and he won with a 66.622%. Here is the video of the show:
Rhyan works on more collection 3-8-11
Rhyan recently offered half steps, and he is working on shoulder in, haunches in, simple changes and turns on the haunches. Everything he is asked to do, he does with a willing attitude.
His walk is big and pure, his trot is free, expressive and well balanced, and his canter is rhythmic and ground covering. He likes to work, too. He will make a perfect amateur dressage horse horse or hunter.
Rhyan- hunter orientation- 3rd time free jumping, 2nd time over fences under saddle, first time trying flying changes (and they were clean!)
