I sent Pip off to a jumper trainer and in one month he was jumping courses and had jumped clear with flying changes at a hunter show and a jumper show in the schooling ring. As a matter of fact, he liked him so much that he convinced a client to buy him. I am so glad that Pip will be able to continue doing what he loves best- jumping!!!

July USDF Connection Magazine Article

In the July, 2008 USDF Connections Magazine article titled "Sport-Horse Analysis: Breeds, Breeders and Pedigrees", I am listed as the 6th ranked Top USDFBC Breeder for 2007 with three finalists (average score 78.750%). Gold Luck is listed as number 10 in the USDFBC Top Sires of 2007 with three finalists produced with an average score of 79.217%, the second highest average percentage. I would also like to point out that Gold Luck is the only American bred stallion in the top 10. There is one more table listing Gold Luck: Sires of Two or More 2007 USDFBC Young Horse Finalists. He is listed in 9th place because he had only two, but the average score for those two was 80,625, the highest average score on the list. Thank you to all of the owners of the horses shown in hand, because I didn't contribute much at all to these results. I showed two horses last year at USDF Breed Shows (Rheporter and Wyneth L), and it was the first time I had shown in hand in years. Plus, I didn't show one Gold Luck offspring. Chasing points is definately not my thing!

Why I love breeding horses
 sire        dam
Owned by:

There are a few magical moments on a breeding farm that allow me to remember why I do this. This rainbow appeared over my two broodmare pastures right after they were let out to graze for the evening. After a long spring of foal watch and worry about having healthy foals and mares, I finally have come up for air to a magical moment like this.

11/16/07Hi Mo~ Well Goodie is amazing. I showed him today against all the pros in the Adequan division to see if I wanted to move up to the big leagues and do the 3'6" A/O's. There were 17 pros and me. EVERYONE LOVES HIM! We got 2 6th's over jumps and won the under saddle. I had small mistakes, and against other amateurs I would have won. So we're going try to qualify for Devon... keep your fingers crossed and if it all works out I hope you will be there! I hope all is well, Bill PS Rhecipe is gorgeuos! 9/16/7 HI Mo~ I am starting to have the most amazing time on Goodie. He had very difficult shoes to fill for me, and bless his heart... he knew and knows it. I showed him today at Woodedge Stables in Moorestown NJ. Our routine has changed drastically. Phoebe gets him to the show, flats him in the ring.. no jumping. When it's tome for us to perform... Phoebe warms him up and jumps him a couple of practice jumps. When they call me on deck... I get on... just go into the ring cold and do my course. Goodie is a saint. It is our 4th show together. Today 1st class we were 3rd, deep to first jump. 2nd class we had a flawless round but had a rail due to deep footing. 3rd class... flawless again 1st Under saddle 1st and we were Champion 9 competed. Looks like we may be together for quite some time! I am looking forward to Middleburg this friday. Well, I decided to show More About Me yesterday. It was hot, and I was anxious as hell! I had only jumped this horse over single jumps and never an entire course... My trainer Phoebe has done a great job with him, and if I wasn't so nervous I may have made it look smoother. As it was, we were pretty slick, did very well and I am sore as hell today. I will have to ride more than once a month... I think I am too old for this. Goodie should be gold plated and sanctified! He tolerated a 50 year old man who has only ridden him a dozen times. He went into the show ring and went around like a trooper. He didn't bat an or put a foot wrong, and we were stars together. I was also the FIRST time I jumped a course on him ever! http://www.bydesignfarm.com/moreaboutme.htm Scroll down the pictures and check out the videos Bill
