At Rolling Stone Farm, our goal is to produce successful performance horses for professional and amateur riders and owners. Below is a listing of recent accomplishments for many of the RSF bred horses and get of our stallions who have gone off to be successful the show rings.

Somer hit was licensed by the AHS at Hilltop Farm this year, and then Alice and he travelled to the Young Horse Championships at Lamplight where they placed 4th. This is the second approved stallion I have bred, and the second time that one of my homebreds placed in the top 4 at the Young Horse Championships!

Blue Goose Recognized Dressage Show 7/7/10 (in the 95 degree heat....) Shakespeare RSF- Second level test 3 First place 76.744% Second level test 4 First place 73.810% Shakespeare won the high score second level sash and was the High Score Hanoverian for the show. Fhitzgerald- First level test 3 Second place 72.286% First level test 4 Third place 71.842%

I sold Lharamie to a most wonderful person, Tonya Kuizenga. She and her friend, Kathy made a marathion road trip with their horse trailer and ended up taking Lharamie home after an impromptu pre purchase exam. My good friend, Marjukka Karki brought this newspaper article from the Holland. This mare, bred by De Havikerwaard in De Steeg was the winner of the IBOP test in Brummen, Netherlands. She received the very high score of 84.5 points with an 8.5 for the conformation and a 9 for the canter. We are looking forward to starting our own first Welcome S foals under saddle in 2010!

The early snow fall (which was beautiful!) has put us all in the holiday mood. Jim and I would like to wish all of our family, friends and clients a happy, healthy holiday season. We leave tomorrow for the final days of the stallion 70 day test in Oklahoma, where Shakespeare and Fhitzgerald are hopefully doing well. Wish us luck!

At the Region 1 Finals in Lexington, VA, Ghlen was second in the PSG 2010 GAIG and BLM qualifying class with an amazing score of 68.553%. In his 2009 championship class, he was, unfortunately out of the ribbons. I had heard the indoor ring bothered a lot of horses. Perhaps this was the case....

At the Region 1 competition and GAIG Finals in Lexington, VA, Ghambade won 4th level, test 3 Open & 2010 Qual. with a 64.634%. She was 6th in the 2009 GAIG Finals class at 4th level with a 63.659%.

At the Region 1 USDF Finals competition at the Va Horse Center in Lexington, VA, Rhavel was 6th in the FEI test of choice with a 57.23% at Int. II. He was 6th in his 2009 finals class at Int. II with a 56.447% and 8th in the GAIG Grand Prix Open with a 54.149%.

At the region 1 GAIG Championships in Lexington, VA, Just Livingston was 2nd in the GAIG Finals at PSG Adult Amateur with a 68.289% and they were 1st in the GAIG Finals at 4th Level, Adult Amateur with a 67.195%. Congratulations, Caroline!

We took Lance to a lesson with Scott Hassler and he was super. He loaded great, stood on the horse trailer while Hhamilton was ridden and went in the ring and right to work with no fuss. He invited the two horses to be demonstration horses for the Young Horse trainers symposium in Nov.! We are very excited! Here is some video from the day:

At Dressage at Devon, 2009, Whirlpool competed in the FEI 6 year old class, ridden by Melissa Jackson where he was second with the incredible score of 80.2% on Thursday. This was the third highest score for all of the FEI classes that day! On Friday, he won the class with a score of 74%.

Christine Felker sent me this photo of her and Lassie at the Good Horseman/Collecting Gaits Farm Three Horseman Dressage Show at the Georgia International Horse Park on March 7-8, 2009. Christine won the Adult Amateur Award for her score of 75.200% in Tr. test 4. Christine was also one of two riders to receive the Adult Amateur "Good Rider" award. She was awarded a show cooler for receiving an 8 in the Rider collective remarks in and AA class. Congratulations!

Acapella becomes an Elite Mare with a new AHS ruling which states that if a mare receives a 1A premium at a mare show, and passes the MPT, she can become an Elite Mare, even if their inspection score was not an overall 7.0. They made this rule retroactive. In 2000, Acapella was named Reserve Champion Young Mare at the MAHB Mare Show, receiving a 1A premium from judges Ludwig Christmann and Karin Himmelmayer. Her inspection score was very close to a 7.0, missing it by tenths of a point, and in 1998, her MPT score was 7.0. This brings our total to 18 EM's, 5 EMC's, and 1 SPS in production at RSF. In addition, we have 1 EM for sale as a riding horse (Chalk One Up). We have now produced 33 EM's, EMC's and SPS's from our breeding program!

March 2009 Phoebe reports that Cash has been to his first horse show- Worcester at Our Farm in Norristown, PA on March 6-8. He won his hack class, was second, first and fourth in the over fences classes and he was named Champion Baby Green Hunter! Phoebe hopes to show him in the young hunters at Devon.

Well, JoAnne is having a ball in FL and her first time out in the show ring was very successful. She won her second level test one at the Welcome Back to White Fences Show on 2/21/09 with a 70.0%. I got to visit with JoAnne when I was there to scribe for the Palm Beach Dressage Derby and I took this conformation photo.

We have never taken Ghamma Ray to a horse show off the property since we bought her in October of '07 because she was just getting back under saddle when we found out she was pregnant in April of '08, then she was doing the Mom thing till October of '08, so this was her first show 18 months later (with a 14 year old rider) off property.

Yesterday Rachel & Pat took Ghamma Ray to a "B" rated Jumper show with a small class at Old Salem Farm in New York. Rachel rode (all the other riders were late teens or 20's) in 2 classes - 3 events at 2.5 feet, and 3 events at 3 feet. She & Ghamma Ray rode all 6 events clean and took 1st in all 6 events, and obviously won both championships!! They thought about riding in the 3.5 ft events but thought to quit while they were ahead on their first time out.
