Loerke Foals

Although his first foal crops have not been large, Loerke has had several top foals at AHS inspections, and success in the breed shows. The first young horses are now starting under saddle and have been reported to have lovely rideability and gaits. We feel that he will be an especially good match for the Gold Luck daughters in our broodmare band.

At the 2001 Some Day Soon Farm inspection, Loerke foals were Champion Colt and Filly. In 2002, his son Luminous, won the Colt Championship and the Young Horse Reserve Championship at the July Morven Park Breed Show. He is now winning in major hunter shows. In 2004, Loerke’s Promise did the MPT, receiving 8’s for her jumping and canter with a final score of 7.44. At the 2004 AHS inspection at Hedgeland Equestrian Center, Lladra (Lörke-Aries/Adios III) became the Champion mare with a final score of 7.66. For her walk and trot presentation she received an 8 and a 9. The next day at the Mid Atlantic Hanoverian Breeder’s Club Mare Show and MPT, she passed her Mare performance test with a 7.22 and is now an Elite Mare Candidate. A lovely 2004 filly by Lörke-Wisteria Q/Weltbekannt came in second among the fillies presented there. In 2005, Leopold Q out of a Wertherson mare, won the inaugural FEI Test for Four Year Olds at Dressage at Devon, with a score of 79.00%. In 2006, he was the highest scoring American bred horse in the FEI 5 y.o. division of the USDF/Markel Young Horse National Championships and he is ranked 2nd in the 2006 National USDF year end standings for second level. The champion of the Mare Performance Test at the Oakwood Farms inspection in 2005 was Leap of Faith, a three year old mare out of an EM Webster daughter. The top colt of 23 foals at that same inspection was by Loerke out of an EM by Pik Immer. At the large 2005 Rolling Stone Farm inspection, the reserve top colt was by Loerke out of a Bruderherz/Lemon xx mare and in 2006, the third ranked filly was out of a Gold Luck daughter.

Lexington Q, bred by Suzanne Quarles and trained and sold by Rolling Stone Farm in 2005, has never been defeated under saddle in green hunters and is now starting to win over fences as his training progresses. In 2007, Leopold Q has been very successful in the show ring, with scores as high as 73.409% at fourth level. He won nearly every time out, with three times being high score of the show at third and fourth levels. He is ranked 15th nationally at that level, and is 6th nationally in the FEI 6 year old division. In the All Breeds awards, he is 4th at 4th level for the AHS and tied for 2nd place in the FEI 6 year olds. Lhifeguard placed 5th at Dressage at Devon 2007 in the two year old colts and geldings class.  Lhauren, bred by RSF out of EM Giadonna by Gold Luck, placed 6th out of 21 in yearling fillies and then won the Hanoverian class (out of 12) with an 83.4% at the VADA/Nova Summer Breed Show at Morven Park.  She also placed seventh at Dressage at Devon in the yearling fillies class. Just Livingston, owned and bred by Gert Stearns, had another really good year. He won or placed in all his classes at first and second level. He was 3rd in the regional finals at first level and has qualified for the 2008 finals at second level. Gerd reports that he shows good aptitude for collected work and his changes are getting better by the day. He has quite balanced medium gaits and it looks like his extended gaits won't be a problem. She is looking forward to his full sibling arriving in 2008.

Elite Stute Fhlora (Fuerst Heinrich-SPS Valencia/Velton Third)
Lhukas is under saddle and he is really a good one. He is tall (16.3 at 2 1/2 years old), black, quiet and personable and a super mover. His walk is pure and overtracks by over a foot. His trot is rhythmic and regular with just the right amount of knee and shoulder freedom, and his canter is uphill and engaged. We took him to Hilltop Farm in the beginning of Feb for a lesson with Chris Hickey. He was absolutely super. It was his first long trailer ride (his 3rd ever). He stood tied in the trailer while Shakespeare was off having a lesson. He went in the ring and his heart was beating through his chest, but he never made a wrong move. I have it all on video. Take a look at the posted new photos, too.
SOLD! Congratulations to Patti Care of PA!
