I don't need 4 S line stallions, although I love them all- this one can be your breeding stallion and riding horse at the same time. FEI potential here!

He was one of two homebred stallions licensed on July 23, 2012. I gelded him in the fall of 2013. I had to make a decision about whether or not to send a second stallion to the 2013 70 day stallion test in OK. I decided that, since I stand Shotgun's father, Shakespeare and it would cost another $15K to send him, I made the decision to geld him.

Since this colt almost didn't live through his birth, the premium designation is a bonus. Boy, can he move! He is one of the darkest Shakespears foals with an almost black coat. I love him!

April 2013: Shpades has caught up height-wise with the earlier born pasture mates. He can still really MOVE with the super hindquarter action he demonstrated as a foal. He is genetically programmed for success in the dressage ring. Fall 2012: He just uses his hind end like a rocket launcher. When he loses his baby fat and lengthens out a bit, he will be amazing.

Shtrapless is a three year old who is one of the farm favorites to ride. She is very consistent and quiet under saddle. She has done the GOV Mare Performance Test with good scores- a very tough test for a three year old. We showed her at some breed shows this year and she did quite well. At Dressage at Stone Tavern, August 31, 2014, she won the three year old fillies class. We then took her to Dressage at Devon 2014, where she placed 5th in the 3 year old fillies class, and 2nd in the three year old filly materiale. We think she would make a super mount for an amateur dressage rider, or perhaps she could follow in the footsteps of her successful half brother, Fhinancier, and shine in the hunter ring.

Unfortunately, Shoduku was at a funny growth phase for both of these video sessions. He was starting to get butt high, affecting his balance so that he kept spilling from the trot into canter. April 2013: Shuffleboard surprised us all at his spring evaluation of his gaits when free running. He showed us the gaits he had previously been hiding with his laid back disposition. He is a really good one!

This colt has a disposition that is quiet and easy- perfect for the amateur who isn't as adventurous with young horses as some others and we all know that three good gaits and a good mind can win ribbons for you in the show ring- more so than a fancy trot. Whitney always has made elastic movers with super walks and this colt is no exception. He is really an easy, elastic mover at the trot and canter with a super walk, like the 9 that Whitney received at her inspection. Shuffleboard will mature in the range of 16.2 hands or so.
